Freya India

Known for her commentary on young women’s digital experiences, Freya will retain her independence and widen her commentary focus, with support from IFS.

CHARLOTTESVILLE, TN, UNITED STATES, September 2, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- For IFS, India will contribute research and commentary related to her areas of expertise, including gender, youth culture, and digital life. She will do so in addition to her independent newsletter and editorial roles elsewhere.

“Freya India is one of the West’s leading voices in discussions about internet culture and the experiences of young women. She will complement our research and allow us to continue shaping national conversations about family, fertility, and technology.” said Carter Skeel, Executive Director of the Institute for Family Studies.

“We are thrilled to become the research engine for Freya’s incisive commentary and the institutional home for her unique perspective. We can’t wait to bring her voice to even more people through this partnership.”

Freya India is a contributing writer at The Free Press and author of GIRLS®: Generation Z and the Commodification of Everything.

On her Substack, GIRLS, she writes about the challenges facing young women today. She was previously a staff writer for psychologist Jonathan Haidt at After Babel, and her work has also appeared in publications including The Washington Post, First Things, and The Spectator.
